- Aadi Pooram: This festival is celebrated in the month of July or August to honour Goddess Parvati as Andal, one of the 12 Alwars (saints) who sang praises of Lord Vishnu. The devotees dress up as Andal and offer garlands and sweets to Lord Vishnu.
